About Bitpanda

Bitpanda Custody is an FCA-registered and insured crypto custody platform that provides a safe and seamless experience for institutions engaging with crypto assets and DeFi.

Known for its deep-rooted expertise in the security and management of private keys, Bitpanda Custody has been a leader in the institutional custody industry since its inception. Bitpanda Custody was the first to seamlessly integrate with MetaMask, offering institutional users a secure way to navigate DeFi protocols across multiple platforms.

The Radix integration gives institutional users on the Radix Network access to Bitpanda Custody’s state-of-the-art HSM architecture, enabling secure control over Radix assets and resources. Additionally, future integration work will add the  ability to call Radix’s DeFi dApps while utilizing advanced security and policy rules around transactions.

For institutional capital, these features, combined with Bitpanda’s ISO 27001 security certification, act as robust pillars of trust, ensuring secure mobile phone-based approvals with the backing of military-grade infrastructure for private key security.

Alex Batlin, Managing Director at Bitpanda Custody, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, ‘We’re thrilled to contribute the institutional custody piece of the jigsaw puzzle to Radix’s advancement of DeFi’s security and functionality. By making every token and DeFi protocol crypto transaction safer, faster and easier, we bring the on-chain vision of finance one step closer.’

Echoing this sentiment, Piers Ridyard, CEO of RDX Works, added, ‘Bitpanda Custody stands out as a versatile and secure token custody tech stack, and now integrates the Radix transaction manifest for programmatic ledger interactions. This collaboration aims to unlock Radix’s full potential for institutions, ensuring they can adhere to their governance and security requisites while exploring the expansive DeFi universe.’

Currently, this integration allows for programmatic interactions with the Radix platform, meaning that the interaction with the Radix network is via the Bitpanda Custody APIs. Future phases will expand to include full integration with the Radix platform for GUI-based transactions.
