TLDR

NFT Wars is a strategy game on the Radix network, where players use NFT heroes from seven Radix NFT collections to compete in PvE and PvP modes. Heroes gain experience, level up, and retain progress even when traded, adding utility and value to NFTs.

Since its launch, NFT Wars has recorded 55,000 in-game battles, 200+ Radix wallets connected, and 500+ NFTs actively used. Regular Play-to-AirDrop events reward players, including an upcoming event featuring 25,000 XRD prizes.

NFT Wars has recently secured both an MVP and Launch booster from the 250M XRD Ecosystem Fund

One of the standout Web3 games being developed on the Radix Network is NFT Wars. It is a strategy game where players use NFT heroes from supported Radix-based collections to compete in various game modes.

The game offers both PvE and PvP modes, allowing players to either face AI-controlled enemies or challenge other players in competitive battles. NFT Wars integrates seven Radix NFT collections, including Radorables, Pyros World, Radical Penguins, Radical Robos, Abandoned Scorpions, Radish Harvests, and Water Bears. Each NFT collection represents a unique hero type with distinct abilities, such as Pyros, which are fire mages capable of using a “Meteor” ability.

A List of Game Levels

These NFT heroes gain experience points and level up during gameplay, and their progress is tied to the NFT itself, meaning that leveled-up heroes retain their status even when traded to new owners.

Since its launch, NFT Wars has achieved over 55,000 In-Game NFT Battles, 200+ Unique Radix Wallets Connected, with over 200 unique wallets actively participating, and over 500 Radix NFTs from various collections being used in the game.

Here’s what you can expect:

Campaign Mode (PvE): Players face themed enemy teams in dungeons of increasing difficulty. Completing dungeons rewards coins and experience points, which are used to level up heroes.

Arena Mode (PvP): Players compete against others, earning points to climb divisions, from Bronze to Platinum. PvP unlocks at level 5, emphasizing progression and competitive play.

Events: Regular Play-to-AirDrop events reward active players based on performance, with a live leaderboard tracking progress. This event will offer 25,000 worth of XRD in rewards and include two tracks:

Community Track: Players collaborate to reach milestones, unlocking additional rewards for the event’s pool.

Individual Track: Players compete to collect activity points and climb a leaderboard for exclusive prizes.

Future Plans

A Preview of PvE Mode

NFT Wars is focused on enhancing gameplay and delivering new features to keep players engaged:

Expanded Gameplay Content: The maximum NFT hero level will increase from 20 to 35, enabling greater progression. A third dungeon with unique challenges will provide deeper PvE experiences.

Improved PvP Arena: A revamped ranking system will make promotions and demotions more dynamic, with fairer matchmaking to ensure balanced battles. Three new divisions—Emerald, Diamond, and Master—will add tougher challenges and exclusive rewards. A match history feature will allow players to review battles and refine strategies.

In-App NFT Soft Staking: Players will soon be able to lock NFTs within the game, maintaining wallet control while earning passive experience points. This feature will encourage players to hold more NFTs and experiment with different team compositions.

Why Did NFTWars Build On Radix?

When choosing a network to build on, NFT Wars evaluated Ethereum, Solana, and Radix. Ethereum was dismissed due to high transaction fees and a fragmented ecosystem caused by Layer 2 solutions, which complicate user experience. Solana, while fast and cost-effective, suffers from an oversaturated NFT market with short-lived collections, making it unsuitable for long-term projects.

Radix emerged as the ideal choice. Its asset-oriented design treats NFTs as first-class citizens, simplifying integration and allowing NFT Wars to focus on gameplay rather than complex asset logic.

The supportive and patient Radix community further strengthened the decision. After attending a local Radix meetup, the NFT Wars founder was welcomed by an ecosystem focused on long-term growth. The opportunity to be a first mover and establish a foundational project was a unique advantage.
